To Jack and all the other FUCKWITS who say RTFM. The various and many problems have nothing to do with knowledge or manuals or expertise. They have to do with crap software that DOES NOT WORK, assholes. The product doesn't detect malware, therefore it is not fit for purpose, enough to go to court with in many countries to be compensated and Trend fined. The product corrupts perfectly working and up-to-date systems, class action court case could be on the cards here. The product auto-renews and auto-bills credit cards without user consent, as far as I'm concerned, that is about as illegal a practice as you can get.

If you are trying to get a refund because of the auto-renew situation, go to http://www.digitalriver.com/ instead of trying to find the non-existent link on the Trend Micro site. Nothing like blind links in the refund system to instill confidence in the consumer. Way to destroy a company Trend!

I bought Trend Micro Antivirus and Antispyware 2010 and got some kind of virus to where I couldn't get windows to open I had to erase my whole system and reinstall everything. Now the thieves won't give me a refund because I purchased the product at a retailer and not online. THIS IS BS.

I just uninstalled it. It corrupted it self at any whim and I did try some of the stuff on how to use. Like it blocked good websites and deleted good files into the vault.

One did not have the options you wanted but had one's you did not. I been having computer issues and I took it to the Geek squad as it is under warranty. It came back with no problems found but one spyware. TM was screwed to the pooch. It would not scan anything. I uninstalled it twice and put it back in still would not scan a damn thing. I had other programs not work and had to reinstall but they are now working. That one did not ever work right before and some of the issues have been mentioned above. Besides I was supposed to be able to put it on 3 computers. I tried it on my laptop and no go. It used up my two tries with no recourse of install it on the laptop so I went with a free one.

I just put a free one in this one. I am sure it is a better one then TM as they one let in Sysguard.exe a week or so ago. It is easily bypassed by viruses.

So even if I have time left on my updates it is out of my computer. I had nothing but issues with it and now I wonder if it caused my other computer issues. I will see if it don't happen again with it out.

I am not a pro but not an beginnner either and I do have a computer degree so I know how to use software. This program is bad. I had the 2008 version that came with my dell.

Trend Micro SUCKS and ruined my operating system. I made the unfortunate decision to have Best Buy install Trend Micro on my brand new desktop computer a year ago. I got the renewal popup, so decided to do that process to continue because the product seemed to be working fine. I downloaded using their 64 bit/Vista (Which is what I have) link. My OS was immediately corrupted and virtually everything was rendered useless. I managed to get an Indian technician who ran me through a bunch of BS, and after being on the phone 4 hours with her she FINALLY escalated me to a "Level 2" engineer. That woman tinkered around remotely, with me on my puter for another 5 hours. Can you believe it??? After all the tinkering, and trying to figure something with windows installer, she finally gave up and told me to call Dell (LOL) and that reformat would probably be my only option. The only thing she told me was that I had a "older version).. yes older being what they put in there in 2008!, and that the new version may have conflicted with that. Well let me tell ya folks, whatever happened, it all but destroyed windows (And even disabled my windows restore windows) capability. And then, she had the AUDICITY to say, for this inconvenience I'll be able to extend your subscription for another 4 months for free!!!!!! I went quiet.... and said, "You must be absolutely kidding to think that I'll ever use this software again". You ARE kidding me right???

Thank GOD that I am religious in running a seperate system back up process with Norton Ghost. That saved my life.. after all the wasted time and STRESS. It saved me from having to restore my computer.

My laptop isn't the newest or fastest by any means but ever since I installed trendmicro's internet security, the fucking program convoys my entire laptop for the first 15 minutes after startup EVERY DAY to "install updates" during which I can basically plan on doing absolutely nothing. This update slows down my computer to the point where I can barely open and play a game of solitaire.

Then, once its done, everything is fine--windows open instantaneously, internet is fast, etc.. I know this isn't as bad as what other people have experienced, like system crashes, etc, but the day you have to turn an important assignment in electronically by a certain time or take a timed test online right after starting your laptop you start to lose your sense of humor with this program pretty fucking quickly.

Boy howdy, do they suck. I bought an update, downloaded and installed it & it promptly crashed my system. Had to rush it to the geek squad to get it running again. I complained, within the 24 hour window, and they said fine, just promise us you've deleted it all & we will refund your money in 5 to 7 days. That was THREE FREAKIN WEEKS AGO, and now they are trying to tell me I can't get my money back. BITCHES.

This is an old posting but Trend Micro still sucks. The Rant-n-Rave above sounds just like the dboima I just received from TM. $50.00 bucks for a so-called renewal and 3 days later I am still wrangling with these jerks because the installed software pops-up and says:

30 day trial version. Pay now.
